The tiny gymnast bumped into the basketball legend at the Super Bowl, and getting them in the same frame for the photo proved tough

When two worlds collide, this is what it looks like.

American sporting legends seemingly come in all shapes and sizes, and there was a meeting of two of the biggest ones at the Super Bowl on Sunday. Well, one of the biggest ones anyway.

Because when Simone Biles met Shaquille O’Neal , it made for quite the image.

The 4ft 8ins Biles – who captured the hearts of American sports fans when she followed up her 10 Gymnastics World Championships gold medals with four golds and a bronze at the Rio Olympics – made a beeline for the 7ft 1ins basketball legend Shaq, a four-time NBA champion and 15-time all-star.

The 71cm height difference between the pair made the image a viral hit, with the shot being liked over 400,000 times after being posted on Biles’ Instagram page.
