What is going on between Rhea Ripley and Jey Uso? [Photo credit: wwedeutschland’s Instagram account (left) and wwe.com (right)]
Rhea Ripley’s issues with Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan have escalated after WWE SummerSlam thanks to her former on-screen partner, Dominik Mysterio, turning on her. While she has Damian Priest at her side to take on the new pair at WWE Bash in Berlin, it appears there is another superstar on the roster who has long been eyeing Ripley.
Jey Uso has now addressed Mami’s liking towards him. She dropped a bombshell at the Fanatics Fest NYC claiming that Uso was her favorite wrestler on the current roster, aside from Priest. Taking to Instagram, Jey shared a picture of Mami wearing a bracelet with the words ‘Yeet,’ which Ripley acknowledged immediately.
“She kno,” Jey Uso wrote.
“Yeet,” Rhea Ripley retorted.

This is an angle that has been teased by WWE’s creative for a while now, albeit it was not pushed heavily. WWE Hall of Famer and Jey Uso’s father Rikishi had previously expressed his disinterest in it. But now it seems like the company is going to flesh out their budding romance.
Jey Uso had a response for WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi’s criticism of his booking
The most important negative Rikishi pointed to was how Jey Uso was incredibly popular among the masses but the Stamford-based promotion was not giving him a proper storyline. He was also critical of the fact that this son was not booked for SummerSlam.
During an appearance on The Ringer Wrestling Show shortly after Rikishi made those comments, Jey addressed the former’s concerns. Uso urged his father to simply enjoy the ride.
“He just said what he said about my creative. I’m like, ‘Dad. Just watch the show. Let me work. Let me go out and work, enjoy the show. Make your rap track.’ That’s pops, though. Shoutout to my dad,” said Jey Uso.
Jey Uso has had an eventful year thus far, albeit he still has not technically broken the proverbial glass ceiling. This is especially true considering his strong connection with the fans. Uso contended for the world title numerous times but without luck, which included a show-stealing performance at Backlash: France in May against Damian Priest.
