Swifties can’t get enough of Travis Kelce’s new way of describing his pop star girlfriend.

In a video that emerged over the weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was seen attending a charity gala alongside Taylor Swift, who took her relationship with the NFL star public last fall. Fans have loved seeing recent photos and videos of the two together as they enjoyed the first weekend of Coachella and stepped out for date nights in Los Angeles.

The power couple most recently attended a charity gala on Saturday, April 27 in support of 15 and the Mahomies Foundation, an organization focused on improving kids’ lives that was established by Kelce’s friend and fellow Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes. At one point during the gala, Kelce stepped up to the stage to announce that he and the “Shake It Off” singer had spoken about a special surprise donation for the auction portion of the evening.

“I was just talking with my significant other, and we might have one other auction item that wasn’t on the docket,” Kelce said before announcing that they were auctioning off four tickets for when Swift’s ongoing international Eras Tour returns to the U.S. later this year.

TikToker Joanna shared a video clip on the social media platform showing the moment when Kelce called the “Cruel Summer” songstress his “significant other.”

“Did he just say SIGNIFICANT OTHER?!” I died dead,” one fan exclaimed.

“Oh my gosh, he called her his significant other,” another TiktToker commented.

“I hope someone recorded Taylor for when he said significant other you know she was blushing,” another person wrote.

Kelce’s new name for his special someone also appeared to have sparked a new wave of engagement rumors among some Swifties online. While a source close to the couple told Us Weekly earlier this year that Kelce and Swift had no plans to get engaged “anytime soon,” some fans thought his choice of words at the gala was telling.

“His significant other👀oh sir is this because you can’t say girlfriend anymore?!” one TikToker wondered.

One fan suggested that Kelce may have “already proposed to Taylor in secret,” while another claimed he “said significant other bc they are engaged.”

Despite the excited fan theories, neither Swift nor Kelce have spoken publicly about whether their plans for their future together have changed.
