The Final Boss teamed up with Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40. The next night, Rhodes took the title from Reigns. However, The Rock vowed to return one day to face the new Undisputed WWE Champion and resolve their rivalry.
The Final Boss still has commitments to his Hollywood schedule, but if he makes a surprising appearance, here are three ways he could return to WWE on August 3.
#1. The Rock returns to have a staredown with Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes defied expectations and emerged victorious against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.
Next night on RAW, The Rock revealed that he would be returning to Hollywood, but assured fans that he would make a comeback to face Cody Rhodes as their rivalry was far from over.
The wrestler-turned-actor is busy with his Hollywood projects, which are expected to be completed by August. If the project finishes before August 3, he might return to the Stamford-based promotion to have a staredown with Rhodes after the latter retains his title at the premium live event.
#2. Rock returns after Roman Reigns makes his presence felt at SummerSlam
There is a lot of buzz surrounding The Bloodline as speculations about Roman Reigns making a comeback to thwart their plans at SummerSlam are rapidly circulating. The potential return of Reigns, coupled with the unexpected appearance of the 52-year-old veteran shortly after the former Big Dog’s comeback, could shake things up.
After the Rhodes versus Sikoa match, Reigns may engage in a heated confrontation with Sikoa, only to be ambushed by The Great One. The much-awaited Bloodline Civil War saga is on the brink of kicking off, and The Rock making an appearance at The Biggest Party of the Summer to announce the impending war could be monumental.
#3. Return after Solo Sikoa shockingly beats Cody Rhodes
As mentioned above, the former Enforcer is set to collide with The American Nightmare on August 3.
Sikoa might unexpectedly triumph over Rhodes with the help of his Bloodline companions. Once he secures the title, Sikoa might call out The Rock and dedicate his win to his Tribal Chief, presenting The Brahma Bull with his freshly won championship belt.
It could then be revealed that The People’s Champion was secretly pulling the strings, orchestrating events from the shadows. He sent other members of the Bloodline to aid Solo Sikoa, all while remaining undetected in his deceptive schemes.
