Connecticut Sun star DiJonai Carrington had a strong response to one fan trying to mock her. The guard faced the New York Liberty today at Mohegan Sun Arena. Unfortunately, they couldn’t get the win, but Carrington had some sort of revenge when a fan asked her if she watched Indiana Fever highlights, implying she was paying more attention to Caitlin Clark.

First, she sent a cryptic message on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“But I’m a racist, jealous, coon, monkey, hatin a** b**** who needs to go back to Africa when I do it huh?😂😂😂😂😂 plssss. Like I said, this is basketball,” Carrington wrote. One fan tried to shed light on this situation, sharing a video of Clark during the Mystics game.

Another fan asked if Carrington was watching the Fever game right after hers, which sparked a big response from the Most Improved Player of the Year candidate.

“1. Close!!! BUT no :/ my gf is on the fever😆 so I was trying to catch the rest of her game.”

2. This has nothing to do w/ Caitlin. This has to do w/ how nasty yall fAnS are to call me ridiculous things for somethin that is literally jus mfers hoopin”

3. I was still in my uniform🤭,” she tweeted.

DiJonai Carrington and Caitlin Clark have been linked with each other since last month when they clashed on the court, sparking a conversation about black players hating the Indiana Fever guard. It’s been a month since that moment and fans thought Carrington was trying to stir the pot again.

DiJonai Carrington and the Connecticut Sun loses to the New York Liberty

In one of the early games today, DiJonai Carrington and the Connecticut Sun hosted the New York Liberty at Mohegan Sun Arena. The veteran didn’t have the best performance, dropping eight games and grabbing five rebounds.

Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart and company had to fight hard, but they left the arena with the victory. The guard drained a clutch 3-pointer to give her team the lead after Stewart blocked DeWanna Bonner on the other side of the court.

When Tyasha Harris attempted a 3-pointer, Ionescu blocked her, giving the win to her team and sending Carrington and company home with a loss.
