Singer Paris Jackson – daughter of “king of pop” Michael Jackson – said she sings “not for the money”, because every year she still regularly receives 8 million USD in pocket money from her late father.

In an interview with Grazia magazine (USA), singer Paris Jackson (25 years old) – daughter of the late “king of pop” Michael Jackson – said that she sings not for money, because she herself… doesn’t need money. Paris Jackson affirmed that she cares more about the quality than the revenue of the music products she releases.

At the time of Michael Jackson’s death, he was said to be heavily in debt. However, after his death, the Jackson family continued to receive royalties from the music products that Michael Jackson had released during his lifetime.

It is estimated that the Jackson family has earned more than $700 million in music royalties since Michael Jackson’s death in 2009. Currently, the total assets built from Michael Jackson’s name and career are estimated to be around $1.8 billion.

Since Michael Jackson’s death, each of his children has continued to receive $8 million a year from his estate. Michael Jackson’s three children will inherit a fortune that continues to grow, even years after their father’s death.

Therefore, Paris Jackson affirms that money has never been a burden to her. In her work and life, Paris evaluates her level of success based on how she feels about herself and what she is doing.

“Every time I can perform continuously and still maintain my form, I feel proud of myself. Every time I compose a song that I confidently send to the public, I feel proud of myself. I don’t worry about revenue, because I don’t sing for money,” Paris Jackson shared.

Recently, Paris Jackson had to improve the security of her home, as well as calculate plans to better protect herself after she was continuously stalked by a subject for 4 years.

Earlier this September, Paris filed a formal court order seeking a restraining order to protect her from a persistent stalker. The move was made after the stalker climbed over Paris’s fence and approached her window to look inside the house.

Paris Jackson said the incident left her feeling scared to be home alone. The man began texting Paris in December 2019 via social media. Since then, he has continued to stalk and try to contact Paris.

Paris said she had no connection to the man, but she had endured years of stalking. The man had previously been arrested for trying to break into Paris’s home.

His increasingly daring moves led Paris to believe that even more terrifying things could happen.

Paris filed a petition seeking a restraining order that would prohibit the man from contacting her in any way. She also sought an order requiring him to stay away from her, her home, her car, and anywhere she was, including concert venues.

In his social media interactions with Paris, the man always referred to her as his soulmate. He also insisted that this story would eventually come to an end, either he would have her or it would all end with… a gunshot.

All of this information has been submitted to court by Paris Jackson pending a verdict.
