Patrick Mahomes last played for Texas Tech back in 2016, but that doesn’t mean he forgot about his alma mater. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback recently dedicated a generous $5 million to the school.

That money will be used in the school’s $242 million South End Zone and Dustin R. Womble Football Center project. College football insider Brett McMurphy shared the report on X (previously known as Twitter).

Patrick [Mahomes] and Brittany Mahomes have dedicated $5 million to Texas Tech’s $242 million South End Zone & Dustin R. Womble Football Center project. The school will name its soon-to-be-completed walkthrough area in the Womble Football Center in his name.

TT Red Raiders Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt thanked Mahomes for being part of the family. Hocutt said he couldn’t be prouder of the 3x Super Bowl winner.
