Miami Dolphins wideout thought he saw a glimpse of former teammate Patrick Mahomes in the Bears QB Caleb Williams when he threw a dime in the Bengals game to Rome Odunze.

Caleb Williams got off to a slow start on Saturday when the Chicago Bears faced the Cincinnati Bengals. Yet as the game picked up pace, so did Williams, and some of the plays left fans impressed.

The Bears led the Bengals by three points around the two-minute warning mark in the second quarter. Caleb Williams took the snap and dropped a couple of steps to avoid the on-rushing Bengals defensive players.

The Bears O-line stopped anyone in the white jersey from reaching to their rookie quarterback. Williams then got clear and launched a deep ball, aiming at fellow first-year player Rome Odunze. Despite the coverage, the former Washington wideout caught the ball for a first down.

That’s just beautiful

Caleb Williams so nice he remind me of ……

Tyreek Hill gets massively trolled for comparing Caleb Williams with Patrick Mahomes

Hill rarely praises a quarterback other than Tua Tagovailoa in the NFL unless it’s Patrick Mahomes, with whom he won a Super Bowl in Kansas City in 2019. However, the All-Pro wideout possesses a stellar understanding of an athlete’s quality.

While Williams seems to be a great prospect with an exciting future ahead, fans believe it’s presumptuous to compare the USC graduate to Mahomes. However, some said Hill could not name Tua because he didn’t see his Dolphins teammate as a better quarterback than Mahomes.

Bears beat the Bengals to win 3 consecutive pre-season games

Williams’ day ended at halftime after completing 6 from 13 for 75 yards,1 carry for 7 yards, and 1 rushing touchdown. He almost threw a passing touchdown pass to Tyler Scott, but the Bengals corner thwarted the 43-yard pass. The drive eventually ended with a 37-yard field goal.

I was a little hurt because I really wanted that one, to be honest with you.

Caleb Williams said per NBC Chicagoafter the Bears secured their third preseason win with a resounding 27-3 win

Caleb. Williams.

— Chicago Bears (@ChicagoBears) August 17, 2024Later, the press asked Odunze about Williams’ deep pass to him.

I just watched it back… Caleb did his magic back there and placed the ball exactly where it needed to be. It’s pretty unreal, honestly.

Rome Odunze saidFollowing Williams’ exit, Tyson Bagent took over the quarterback duty and threw back-to-back touchdowns—-4 yards and 25 yards—to Dante Pettis. Bagent wrapped up his night with 7/8 for 87 yards and a couple of tuddys.

That’s a DIME from Bagent

The Bears will finish off their friendly games with a trip to Arrowhead to face the Kansas City Chiefs, who lost their first 2 games. Perhaps then Hill can decide whether Williams is similar to Mahomes or not.
