This wasn’t the first time Biles wore a boot; she had also worn it during her earlier interviews. While speaking to TODAY, she explained, “We’re resting up as much as possible. We have a tour in a couple of weeks. So, I’m just going to rest and heal.”

Biles also told NBC News, “Calf is good. It’s just precautionary, making sure, because we still have tour after this to heal up and all of that stuff. So, just a little bit of soreness.”

Simone Biles stated that she isn’t seriously injured. She wears the boot as a precaution to prevent further harm to her calf and to stay ready for upcoming events. During the closing ceremony, she received the Olympic flag from Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and then passed it on to Hollywood actor Tom Cruise.
