Movie and comedic star Kevin Hart recently showcased once again his sleek trash-talking skills, with Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns among the NBA stars he trolled with his funny insults.
During his session with sports journalist and broadcaster Taylor Rooks on the Bleacher Report on Thursday, Hart spoke about the trash-talking he has become known for while watching NBA games on the sidelines.
Rooks rattled off some names, which the Jumanji star took turns kiddingly throwing insults at. On Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors, Hart likened him to a senior citizen who has a body of a young man.
On three-time league MVP Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, he spotlighted how he is like an old man with bad knees and hip. He went on to underscore that to get under the skin players, one has to talk fast. As for Kawhi Leonard, the comedian from Philadlephia made fun of his distinct laugh, which described as laughing like in pain.
When the the focus turned to Kevin Durant, Hart let him have it:
“I would call KD, the number 11 (drawing laughs from both Rooks and Hart). KD’s got the shoulder of a, child star tennis player, I love you KD.”
The reference to the No. 11 was not explained in the video clip, but it could well be about Kevin Durant’s skinny limbs that look like the number when he is standing straight.
Kevin Hart is no longer a stranger to trash-talking and roasting of Kevin Durant. In fact, it happened during a momentous moment when ‘KD’ won his first NBA title in 2017 with the Golden State Warriors.
During the post-game interview, an emotional Durant was comforted by his mother and urged him to keep it together. Hart took that as an opportunity to roast the All-Star forward, taking to social media and having some fun.
He shared on a video on Facebook:
“Congratulations are in order for my man, KD. I’m not gonna lie, I don’t think it’s gonna happen, but you did it. I’m gonna congratulate you, humbly I congratulate you, man, on finally getting your ring. You deserve it. Amazing season. Amazing accomplishment. …
“But I’m gonna tell you what I did notice, okay. You still getting your a** whooped by your momma. I saw how your momma gripped you off that court. Momma Durant is still whooping your a**… You’re momma was about to spank your a**. You still get spanking. I know you get spanking. I love you man [Laughing].”
Kevin Durant went on to win another NBA title the next year with the Warriors.
He’s now part of Team USA looking to claim a fifth straight Olympic gold medal in the Paris Summer Games beginning later this month.
