The former WWE star shared the unfortunate news on Instagram
A former WWE star has received condolences from several current stars. He shared news of a heartbreaking loss he recently went through.
Kyle O’Reilly is currently a part of AEW, but the star spent a large portion of his career in WWE. He’s seen quite a lot of success in the company as well before going to AEW in 2021 and has been there since then. He recently returned from injury as well.
The star took to Instagram to share a heart-shattering update as he lost his dog, Hank. He shared an emotional post paying tribute to his canine best friend, and thanked him for everything.
“Today we said goodbye to our dear sweet Hank as he crossed the rainbow bridge. As heartbreaking as it is, I can’t help but smile at the amazing and joyous memories he’s given us. For almost thirteen years he’s been a source of comfort and strength for our family and it won’t be the same without him. Dogs really are spiritual healers and Hankie-poo earned his wings. Many say “we don’t deserve dogs” and while it’s hard to argue I have to disagree. Humans deserve dogs just like we deserve love, comfort, laughter, loyalty and a belly to rub. Dogs give us all of those things with a wagging tail as bonus. I think dogs might be the best part of humanity. Thanks for everything, Hank. Give Shadow’s butt a sniff—you guys will be fast friends. Until we cuddle again. Your loyal friend forever, Kyle”
WWE stars immediately sent condolences, letting him know that they were really sorry for his loss. Among others, Tonga Loa aka Tanga Loa, TJ Wilson aka Tyson Kidd, Indi Hartwell, and Cathy Kelley all commented to show him their love. The comments can be seen below.

Former WWE star Kyle O’Reilly spoke about his 21-month injury absence from AEW
While O’Reilly’s absence due to injury may have been a hard blow to take, when he spoke of it, the star chose to look on the bright side.
He said that it was the first time in his career that he had such a long time off and that it was good for him to spend time with his daughter.
“I guess this was the first time in my career, where I really had a significant amount of time off. […] I’d been hurt many times but never been like proper injured, where I needed surgery or anything like that. It just… it was kind of a healthy break for me to just fully just shut off from wrestling. I didn’t watch it for a few months, I just let myself just kinda… I don’t know man it was really kind of a weird time and my daughter was six months old when I got hurt.”
We at Sportskeeda send condolences to the former WWE and current AEW star at this time.
