Ahead of the Dutch GP this weekend, Alpine confirmed the signing of Jack Doohan for the 2025 season. Doohan will pair up with Pierre Gasly and will make his F1 debut next year. Multiple personalities congratulated the rookie for getting promoted and NFL star Patrick Mahomes also joined in to congratulate him.

Patrick Mahomes, the star quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, is also an investor in the Alpine F1 team. Recently, he took note of the team’s decision to sign Jack Doohan for the 2025 season. Mahomes congratulated Doohan through a message on Formula 1’s social media for his achievement.

Doohan has already spent time with the NFL star this year. During the 2024 British GP weekend, Jack Doohan met Mahomes and took him out for a hot lap around the circuit. They used the Alpine’s A110s in a promotional event for the team. The $224 million investment done by the consortium which includes Patrick Mahomes, has helped the Enstone-based outfit to build their valuation to more than a billion dollars.

Jack Doohan expresses happiness over his promotion into F1

Jack Doohan expressed his excitement about moving into a full-time race seat with the BWT Alpine F1 Team for the 2025 season. He felt very happy and thankful for the opportunity. Doohan appreciated the confidence and support that the team’s senior management has shown in him. He acknowledged that their belief in his abilities played a significant role in this achievement.
