Caitlyn Clark’s playoff debut with the Indiana Fever was challenging against the Connecticut Sun, where she struggled offensively, scoring only 11 points in a decisive 93-69 defeat.

The Sun, leveraging their experience, showcased strong performances, particularly from Marina Mabrey, who led the game with 27 points.

Despite a strong start, the Fever couldn’t maintain momentum after a controversial technical foul against coach Christy Sides sparked tensions.

Players like Veronica Burton and Kelsey Mitchell showed promise, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Sun’s defensive pressure and effective scoring, particularly in the latter quarters.

As the Fever regroup for the next game, they’ll need to address Clark’s struggles and capitalize on their strengths to remain competitive in the playoffs.

The team’s depth and adaptability will be crucial in facing such a seasoned opponent.
