Cardi B is responding to a lawsuit from a homeowner claiming she and Offset didn’t pay for using his house in their Like What music video. Cardi shared proof of payments on her X account, sparking online reactions. TMZ reported that the couple is being sued for allegedly not paying for the Beverly Hills mansion used in the video.
Court documents alleged that Cardi B, Offset, and their teams lied to the plaintiff, the homeowner, for using the house for a meager TikTok video. The homeowner claimed that after being told so, he waived the regular short-term rental fee.
The homeowner is now seeking $35,000 in damages.
