Tytyana Miller, the daughter of music mogul and hip-hop legend, Master P, died on Sunday, May 29. Her dad announced the loss through social media.

The Daily Mail reports that rapper and entrepreneur Master P, whose original name is Percy Miller, shared an image through Instagram coupled with a statement regarding the loss of his daughter.

“Our family is dealing with an overwhelming grief for the loss of my daughter Tytyana,” the statement started. “We respectfully request some privacy so that our family can grieve. We appreciate all of the prayers love and support. Mental illness & substance abuse is a real matter that we can’t be afraid to talk about. With God, we will get through this. #MyAngel.”

P’s son, Romeo Miller also shared the news of his sister’s death in a similar fashion.

We appreciate all of the prayers, love, and support, and although this is sad times, I’m forever thankful for the memories I did have with my amazing sister,” he wrote on Instagram. “Love on your loved ones, life is short. The silver lining, I know she’s in a way better place and finally at peace and free.’’
