Comiпg this weekeпd to Ocala: Kid Rock, Jasoп Aldeaп, aпd a lot of traffic

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday cautioned residents to be on the lookout for traffic delays on Friday and Saturday because of the Rock the Country concerts, whose headliners include Kid Rock and Jason Aldean.

The two-day event will be held Friday and Saturday at Majestic Oaks Ocala, 17500 N. U.S. 441, Reddick. That is just south of County Road 318.

“Due to the size of the event and the anticipated number of attendees, please prepare for a significant increase in traffic and delays in the area. We urge drivers on the roadways this weekend to allow extra time for their commute, remain alert, and be cautious!” the sheriff’s office wrote in a Facebook post.

Previous coverage: Jason Aldean and Kid Rock are coming to Ocala in June. Here’s what we know.

Ocala is one of seven Southern cities hosting “Rock the Country” events.

Last year, when the tour was announced, organizers said in a news release that they were “ditching the highways for the back roads and bringing the people who keep America running what they deserve a little appreciation.”

Two-day general admission is $199.99. Friday’s lineup features Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Travis Tritt, Gavin Adcock and Sadie Bass. Saturday’s lineup includes Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, Warren Zeiders, Elvie Shane and Trippp.
