After finding his way back to the NBA with the Phoenix Suns last season, 5’7″ former All-Star Isaiah Thomas is looking to continue playing in the NBA with the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Milwaukee Bucks have shown great ambition in improving their squad depth, realized with three consecutive contracts with Taurean Prince, Delon Wright and most recently Gary Trent Jr.
However, the team of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard is not stopping there. According to reputable journalist Shams Charania, the Bucks are continuing to invite tryouts (work-out) for a series of new names, notably former All-Star player Isaiah Thomas.
Isaiah Thomas determined to find a place in the NBA next season
This year, 35 years old, Isaiah Thomas was a two-time All-Star at the peak of his career.
The most notable was the 2016-17 season when he averaged nearly 29 points per game, tearing apart every defense in the NBA despite only being 1m75 tall. But after that peak, the “IT short guy” began to decline with a complicated and persistent hip injury.
He was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, then moved to many teams in a short time such as the Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards, New Orleans Pelicans, Dallas Mavericks and Charlotte Hornets.
Last season, Isaiah Thomas was given a chance at the Phoenix Suns but only played 6 games, averaging 1.9 points/game.

As a team looking for depth at multiple positions, the Milwaukee Bucks could take a chance on Isaiah Thomas with a no-commitment, minimum-salary contract.
However, the number of minutes played for “IT” will certainly not be high, especially among the defenders like Damian Lillard, Pat Connaughton or the two new contracts, Gary Trent Jr. and Delon Wright.
